Well, an average person with an average income source would say they remember the great global recession and the collapse of the global economy at a scale with the crash of the Stock market globally.

The rising inflation and collapse of money and the system was one of the main motivations that Satoshi Nakamoto realized of releasing an alternative to money by giving the power of money back to the people instead of the Government.

It would not be wrong to say that cryptocurrency can be treated as a revolution and also a rebel move with the motive of fighting for money against the global government and the economic system.
